The SoupBus provides an after-dark meal service to Ballarat’s homeless and less fortunate through the cooperation and support of the Ballarat community. SoupBus aims to create dignified and respectful interaction with those in our community who are in need of the greatest assistance. 5 evenings a week (Sunday 5.30pm-8.00pm & Monday to Thursday 7.30pm-9.00pm), one of our supporting restaurants, cafes and bakeries assist in our food preparation for the SoupBus to distribute free of charge from our central location.
Our Soupbus CBD service has relocated from the Civic Hall to the new exciting indoor venue of the Ballarat Senior Citizens in Little Bridge Street – see “location” for more info We need volunteers & Drivers with a medium rigid licence ~ please complete the registration form here if you are able to assist. Please note: Volunteers must be 18 years+ and have a volunteer working with children check.
Donations to the On Track Foundation can be made at On Track Health & Fitness Club, located at Level 1 /35-37 Sturt St, Ballarat, they are open 7 days a week and can provide a receipt. All donations over $2 is now tax deductible.
Did you know? The SoupBus is run by the Ontrack Foundation which is a voluntary Board that operates without any compensation to its members. That means 100% of the money raised through our sponsors, fundraising efforts and private donations goes back into the running of the SoupBus and the Education Scholarships that the Foundation provides.
